三年越しに再開.本章も常識的な話の整理.メモするうえで以下の略語を用いる (cf. ch.1):
- DH (discreted homonymy): x と y は同名同義的に F である iff. (i) 両者は共通の名前を持つが (ii) 定義は一切共通しない。
- CH (comprehensive homonymy): x と y は同名同義的に F である iff. (i) 両者は共通の名前を持つが (ii) 定義は完全には重なり合わない。
- CDH (core-dependent homonymy): ὑγιής など (cf. 2.6).
- SH (seductive homonymy): x と y は蠱惑的同名異義者である iff. (i) 両者は共通の名前を持つが (ii) 定義は (a) 一切共通しないか,(b) 完全には重なり合わない。そして (iii) 観察者に対して,(ii-a) が正しければそれを偽だと思い込ませ,(ii-b) が正しければそれを偽だと思い込ませる傾向にある。
各々に当てはまる homonyms も簡単に DHs などと呼ぶことにする.
